Thing I’m Loving Today: Wilco’s ‘Sunloathe’ Music Video

Thing I'm loving today: The new animated video for the song "Sunloathe," by Wilco, which Chicagoans probably won't get to hear anytime soon since they're touring this fall in Europe. Financial risks aside, Wilco has clearly embraced the creative benefits to being on its own label. Like this animated video, by the California illustrator Nathaniel Murphy, who provided the drawings for the band's 2007 album Sky Blue Sky. Monsters, line drawings, and a savvy feline make the severely mopey song "Sunloathe" magical in a little over three minutes time. Beats the hell out of this video from the rapper Future, which tops the most viewed list on mtv.com today.
