In case the name didn’t tip you off, pork stars at this new 43-seat Bucktown sandwich joint that opened today. The entertaining brain behind the operation is Elmwood Park native Jeff Mauro (a.k.a. the Sandwich King from the Food Network series of the same name). But beyond his menu’s endless puns (Bao to the Pork, Pig Candy, Memphis Porknado), Mauro has serious intentions regarding the daily sandwiches, salads, and sides. He’ll use only the best of the best meats, breads, and pickles and his own line of sauces.
