Weekend Photos: Darkroom

As the behemoth that is the greater Wicker Park/Bucktown nightlife scene continues its crawl southward, spreading its mission of martinis throughout West Town and Ukrainian Village, much of the activity has been centered on and just off Chicago Avenue, where new watering holes pop up faster than you can say, “Effen Black Cherry” (Old Oak Tap, Bar DeVille). In a neighborhood where it’s rare to find a bar older than your newest pair of shoes, Darkroom, with its jam-packed DJ roster and friendly dance floor, has been serving up beer and beats for six years now. We headed to the spot Saturday for its sixth birthday bash.
