Already a member of Rahm’s inner circle, this Clinton White House staffer (and former MacArthur Foundation insider) helped coordinate city and county efforts last year to reduce illegal gun sales by toughening requirements for reporting lost or stolen firearms. He’s the point man, too, on the new Chicago Public Safety Action Committee, a team of corporate heavyweights that has raised $40 million for youth-focused nonprofits in high-crime neighborhoods.
