A new shop for tots called Peek (1723 N. Damen Ave.) will open its first city boutique on Thursday, May 1. The San Francisco–based retailer has moved into the Bucktown space formerly occupied by Stitch (fear not—the home goods and accessory store has just moved up the street to 1937 N. Damen Ave.).

Themed-message tees ($28), supersoft denim ($39.50), and easy care dresses ($48) for kids age 0–12 are the store's bread and butter. Books, plush toys, art supplies, and other gifts also fill the kid-friendly space outfitted with picnic tables, vintage furnishings, and monkey bars. 

As an exclusive for the Damen Avenue location, Peek has created a cute line of "Windy City" shirts for boys and "I Love Chicago" tees for girls ($28 for baby, $34 for kids). Snatch one up and you'll receive a limited-edition "Look What the Wind Blew In" canvas tote bag, the free gift with any purchase on opening day (while supplies last).
