The crews behind Bub City, Joe’s on Weed Street, and the music-and-BBQ fest Windy City Smokeout have teamed up to bring a gargantuan new venture to MB Financial Park (5441 Park Pl., Rosemont). Adjoining concepts Joe’s Live and Bub City occupy 35,000 square feet: the former will welcome country and local music acts and DJs to its stage; the latter serves up a menu of smoked meats similar to the offerings at its River North location. 

Imperial Lamian (6 W. Hubbard St., River North, 312-595-9440), the first U.S. location for a popular Indonesian restaurant group, is open. The Chinese food spot specializes in hand-pulled noodles from Shanxi province, portioned, stretched, and boiled to order.

In further noodle news, Tokyo-based Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya (1482 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wicker Park, 773-270-4150) is the latest entrant to the smokin’ hot ramen scene.

For those wondering where the heck to get a decent doughnut in this town…you can’t be serious. Also, you have a new option in Doodle’s Doughnuts (1419 N. Wells St., Old Town, 312-613-3339), which serves artisanal flavors such as the Samoa with dulce de leche icing, toasted coconut, and chocolate drizzle; plus Metropolis coffee and three varieties of glazed bacon.

Tête Charcuterie (1114 W. Randolph St., West Loop), which made Chicago’s list of Best New Restaurants last year, closed up shop last weekend.

Following its star-chef-studded, inaugural event last August in Lincoln Park, Food & Wine magazine’s Chicago Food + Wine Festival will not return for round two this year—but organizers tell Eater there will be a 2017 installment.
