She has a knack for infusing her nationally lauded restaurants with fun, and Stephanie Izard’s latest addition to her Goat empire may be the biggest party of all.
The whimsical interior resembles separate Chinatown storefronts and includes what Izard dubs a “very badass” zone inspired by back-alley poker games. The humor extends to the Sichuan-influenced menu, which says “reasonably authentic Chinese food” and lists Izardesque creations such as lo mein egg noodles with goat belly and veggies as well as more traditional spicy mapo tofu with sausage.
