God bless America: There are still tickets available for the pre-Fourth of July pop-up dinner from Aaron Franklin (of Austin’s beloved Franklin Barbecue) at Land and Sea Dept. (3124 W. Carroll St., Garfield Park). You can have meat, drinks, and schmoozing for $100 on July 1–3—more info and tickets here.

Don’t get too comfy in Baker & Nosh’s (1303 W. Wilson Ave., Uptown, 773-989-7393) current digs–this fall, they’ll be moving to a larger space one block east, the former Starbucks at the corner of Magnolia and Wilson. (That’s in addition to their planned second outpost in Edgewater, slated for later this summer.)
