For Jewish singles, Christmas Eve is one serious party night. Revelry and romance! No work the next day and no family obligations! (One drawback: It’s also a night of dodging exes you met on JDate and thought you’d never see again. Good luck with that.) Whether: a) you’re looking to meet a nice Jewish boy or girl; b) you aren’t into the whole Christmas thing; or c) you just need a night off before all of the family togetherness the following day, one of these December 24th bashes, aka “matzo balls,” should suit your party needs. ‘Tis the season for schmoozing—and possibly meeting someone new to spend New Year’s with.

Enclave: The bubby (you know, Jewish grandma) of all matzo balls, Retro Eve takes over this behemoth of a bar once again. Promoters expect about 2,000 party-goers. Advance tickets are still available: $20 for general entry, $30 for VIP access. Show up early for a hosted cocktail reception from 8 to 10 p.m.

Martini Park: This chain nightclub’s Matzo Ball takes place in six cities simultaneously, starting at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Expect the usual loud live music, which tends to make conversation difficult—but, hey, with the drinks flowing, maybe that’s a good thing. Eats are on the house for the first hour, so arrive early. Tickets are $25.

Rockit Bar and Grill: Here’s hoping it isn’t as mortifying as the original made-for-13-year-olds version: Behold, Rockmitzvah. KISS FM’s DJ Special K spins from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Drink specials, $6, come with names like Rabbi’s Little Helpers, Mitvah-tinis, and Dreidle Drops, and all food in the dining room is 50 percent off from 7 to 10 p.m. Cover before 9 p.m. is $10, $20 after.
