It almost seemed as though the dark cloud was lifting: On Saturday—the day our photographer stopped by The Curse, the new Wrigleyville sports bar dedicated to various low points in sports history, most notably the misadventures of Chicago’s own North Siders—the Cubs won the second game in their weekend series against the Mets. We spotted fans toasting over Curse Bowls, a group-friendly jug of blue punch garnished with a stuffed goat, and noshing on the bar’s 14 varieties of sausages, including the Curse of the Billy Goat (made from beef and, yes, goat) and the Zambrano (a “chicken brat with a temper”). But then came Sunday, and the Cubbies’ 15-3 loss in game 3 of the series. At least we know where to wallow.
