This is no side-of-the-highway maze of stalls hawking Beanie Babies and paperback romances. Jayson Home & Garden’s biggest event of the year (Sept. 24–26) will showcase the fruits of an around-the-world shopping spree taken by buyers Devin Kirk and Caroline Scheeler, who’ve been pouncing on vintage and antique finds from Provence, The Netherlands, Belgium, Paris and the United States.

 

A huge white tent in the Clybourn Corridor store’s garden courtyard will be filled with everything from antique French settees ($2,500–$5,000) to stacks of breadboards from Provence ($95–$195)—some sold as-is, some refurbished by the Jayson Home & Garden team (antique French and Belgian chandeliers, for example, have been rewired and outfitted with new shades). The weekend forecast is gorgeous and sunny, so this should make for a refreshing break from browsing musty antique malls. Friday 8–6 (get there early for coffee, croissants, and free burlap tote bags for the first 150 attendees); Saturday 10–5; Sunday 11–5.
