It did not surprise us in the slightest that when Richie wanted to learn the art of hospitality on The Bear, the fictional restaurant he went to stage at was actually Curtis Duffy (pictured) and Michael Muser’s Ever. This two-Michelin-starred spot sets the bar for service in this city, and from the moment you walk through the door, you’re taken care of. The food, presented as an eight-to-10-course tasting menu, follows suit with its attention to detail. But there’s also a sense of fun, from the four different breads with ribbons of butter to the large doughnut with dipping sauces to finish. Be sure to order Muser’s thoughtful wine pairings, and if you need a nightcap, the duo’s cocktail bar, After, is next door.
