If you're into design—and you're not already spending your entire weekend at JCPenney—you have a lot of great options in the coming days.

* The Chicago Botanic is having its annual Garden Antiques & Garden Fair this weekend and we certainly hope the weather cooperates because this one’s a must. More than 100 vendors will be on hand selling vintage finds and garden-related goods. You’ll see antiques from The Golden Triangle, Shine, and Scarlett Scales; decoupage from Victoria Fischetti Designs; garden sculptures from Francis Metal Works; flower pots from Goff Creek Pottery; birdhouses made from salvaged wood by Barns Into Birdhouses; and so much more. There will also be special display gardens to give you some inspiration for perking up your own plot. The fair runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and tickets are $18 for a day pass, $20 for the whole weekend.

* Gin-focused cocktail bar Scofflaw (3201 W. Armitage Ave.) is transforming its gorgeous back room into a Sunday Afternoon Bazaar. Head over from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to grab a cocktail and browse the curated collection of Chicago-made goods. Maybe you’ll leave with a print from watercolorist Grace Tran (she made all the illustrations on Scofflaw’s cocktail menu), a soy candle in a repurposed whiskey bottle from Reuse Candles (shown above), or a gorgeous floral arrangement from Foxglove Studio. Scofflaw Chef Mickey Neely is also preparing a few “fair fare” items, including corn dogs and elephant ears, for your nibbling pleasure.

* Coyle & Herr is throwing a Sweet Sunday party on April 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. While shopping, you’ll get to sample sweet treats from 2katies, check out new cool aprons from Ann Perry Designs, and possibly win a $100 Coyle & Herr gift card.

* Support students from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and buy a unique piece of art for your home at its 13th annual Spring Art Sale. The sale runs Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the SAIC Ballroom, 112 S. Michigan Ave.
