Fans of the Pilsen vintage shop Whisky Ginger (no E in this “whisky”) might have already heard the news that the husband-and-wife team (web designer Dan Knispel and jewelry maker Stevie Koerner) behind the operation is packing up and moving to Southwest Michigan at the end of the month.
But there’s still time to stock up on a plethora of homey knick-knacks and repurposed found objects (think old painters' ladders reborn as bookcases and vintage gas lanterns as modern lights).
Have your own finds that need reinventing or ideas for projects? Whisky Ginger takes custom orders to create anything you might dream up—tables, cabinets, doors, display cases, and more.
While it’s still around, check out the store at 1837 S. Halsted St. (open by appointment only) or hop over to the Etsy shop, which will continue to be in business.
