When a friend asked Drew Baker to help build a lamp, Baker found he couldn’t stop at just one.

It felt like the perfect fit—his schooling in architecture had taught him how to create beautiful designs and a childhood spent in his father’s wood shop made him comfortable working with his hands and tools.

Baker’s lamps ($85 each at his Etsy shop) are available in three industrial-yet-elegant styles. He also takes custom orders (he’s currently working on a floor lamp for a customer) and is expanding his offerings this summer to bar stools and artwork.
