For anyone interested in the city's architecture and design communities, there are quite a lot of things happening this weekend. Here we go:

Western Springs Historical Society

Head to Western Springs on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Western Springs Historical Society’s House Walk fundraiser. You’ll get to explore six homes in the suburb, including a Victorian and a remodeled 1960s Ranch. Tickets are $30 before Sunday and $35 that day.

Oak Park House Tours

Saturday is the 39th annual Wright Plus Architectural Housewalk, sponsored by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust. The all-day event in Oak Park includes rare tours of nine houses, including a new addition for this year’s event: the Cheney Mansion Oasis patio and solarium. Tickets are $100 and are available at GoWright.org.

Vintage Garage

Vintage Garage comes back to 5051 N. Broadway on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This time around, there will be some handmade items for sale alongside the antiques you’ve come to expect.

Golden Triangle

Normally  known as a source for antiques from around the world, now through the end of May, the Golden Triangle is hosting a show featuring new work from local artists. “Made in Chicago” includes metal and hardwood furniture by Jacob Wener of Modern Industry, jewelry by Margaret J. Harris, photography by Laurel Feldman, and paintings by Pamela Staker (shown above, Staker's installation view of "Summer Beach").
