Stark carpets and textiles are usually only available to the trade and warehouse sales, which are few and far between. So when one happens (and is open to the public), trust us when we say you need to check it out.

Today through May 19, Stark is taking over a 100,000-square-foot event space at 225 W. Hubbard St. and filling it with designer carpets, area rugs, fabric, and wall coverings marked down by up to 75 percent off. And, as if scoring a bargain doesn’t make you feel good enough, a percentage of the proceeds are being donated to DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) of Chicago.
