Scavolini Opens at the Mart
In the market for a kitchen or bath reno? Crazy for all things sleek? The clean-lined Italian cabinet manufacturer Scavolini now has a showroom at Luxe Home at the Merchandise Mart, thanks to Michigan-based distributer Cucina Moda, which brought Scavolini to Birmingham in 2010 and is now hoping to win over the Chicago area as well. Shouldn’t be hard with this gorgeous 3,000-square-foot showroom.
Vintage Bazaar, Winter Edition
Are you so sad that indie craft fair season might be coming to an end, what with the holiday shopping frenzy behind us, and summer outdoor markets a distant memory? Chins up, friends. The Vintage Bazaar is back this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Empty Bottle (1035 N. Western Ave.). Shop from vendors including Dial M for Modern, Hi-Brow Modern, and Lost Girls Vintage, and enjoy ’70s crafting stations, tunes by Chance Dances DJs Nina Ramone and Swaguerrilla, and tarot card readings. The cherry on top is booze! What better way to spend a cold Chicago day?
