If Intelligentsia ever got a liquor license, the result would look a lot like this: coffeehouse seating, original artwork, and a youngish, low-key crowd. The five-month-old lounge/gallery delights in specialty cocktails and infusions, from vanilla bean vodka to sage-grapefuit gin. Hungry? Order so-called American tapas, such as beef carpaccio and potato beer bread. Come spring, the owners will throw open the garage door entrance to a lovely street-side patio.
Who’s there: The young artsy crowd
What to order: Twisted Pisco Sour or any of the other wacky combos available (strawberry-basil whiskey, anyone?)
