A key selling point for the three condos in the new building at 2041 North Racine Avenue has been their interior width. Because the site is 30 feet wide—compared with the city’s standard 25—the condos are 23 feet wide rather than 18. “Instead of trying to cram everything in, you’ve got some space to breathe,” says Jeff Lowe, the Prudential Rubloff agent who represents the building.

That breadth allows for a spacious kitchen that faces a large living and dining room. Each condo has two oversize bedrooms (rather than three of more modest proportions), and the nine-and-a-half-foot ceilings and big front windows overlooking Racine add to the sense of spaciousness.

Of the three condos, only the middle unit remains for sale. Like the other two, it has spray foam insulation and insulated windows, two desirable green features. The $589,000 price tag includes an indoor parking space.
