1 Lose the cubes.Adding ice to the blender makes for a watery drink. Instead, freeze the mixers themselves by portioning them into ice cube trays. And for maximum chill, toss the bottle of booze in the freezer, too.
2 Don’t try this at home.Hate to break it to you, but you can’t replicate the Original Negroni Slushy at home without a special machine (this goes for anything that’s all booze, like a martini). But you can still make frozen versions of other classic cocktails, like a Dark and Stormy. Here’s how: Freeze 10 oz. of Gosling’s ginger beer in an ice cube tray, and put a bottle of Gosling’s Black Seal rum in the freezer for two hours. Blend the frozen ginger beer with 2 oz. rum, then stir in lime juice to taste. Garnish with a lime wedge.
3 Make ahead.Boozy slushies will keep in the freezer for months in an airtight container. When cocktail hour strikes, just pull out the premade drink, stir, and serve!
