AUGUST 11, 2016—Over 700 guests came to the trendy, industrial space Morgan Manufacturing in the West Loop for Chicago magazine’s annual Best of Chicago event presented by Wintrust Financial. This year’s celebration sponsored by, CAVA hummus & dips, Gibsons, The Kahala Hotel & Resort, Vitani and Wild Garden, showcased the people, places, and things that ranked at the top with Chicago magazine editors and readers, as featured in the November 2015 and February, May, and August 2016 issues. Guests indulged in a variety of tasty bites as well as drinks from sponsors Casa Noble Tequila, CH Distillery, Half Acre Brewing and Chloe Wines. Attendees had the chance to win prizes by spinning a prize wheel, and they also enjoyed a step-and-repeat photo opportunity and complimentary valet service courtesy of Kia.

Restaurants showcasing their food and drink included Arbor, Avec, Balena, Bar Siena, de Quay, Dos Urban Cantina, Dove’s Luncheonette, Imperial La Mian, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Johnny’s Grill, Kizuki, Loba Pastry & Coffee, LUXBAR, Monteverde, Prime & Provisions, Sparrow, Stan’s Donuts, Swift & Sons, The Betty and The Heavy Feather. Other honorees featured in Chicago magazine were also on-site including Mario Tricoci offering nail polish changes, chair massages and make up refreshers and Lani Love, Readers’ Choice for Best DJ. A portion of ticket sales benefitted SOS Children’s Villages of Illinois.
