The Lake View bar formerly known as Fearon’s Public House (3001 N. Ashland Ave.; 773-248-0990) reopened over the weekend with a red-washed facade and a renewed dedication to all things Irish—including its new name, an ode to the flagship pub of Dublin’s nightlife quarter. While the spot is owned by a pair of second-gen Irishmen and their Liverpool-native pal, we encountered a Saturday-night clientele mirroring the pub’s taps (think Guinness and Bell’s)with folks from here, there, and everywhere in between. Bonus: Check back Tuesday for Cubs’ home-opener photos from the newly renovated Sports Corner, just across the street from Wrigley Field.
