After being dark for three months, the space that formerly housed Empire Liquors has reemerged as Revel Room, a craft cocktail spot from nightlife heavy-hitters Matt Eisler (Trenchermen, Bangers & Lace), Kevin Heisner (Trenchermen), and Howard Natinsky and Patrick Poncher (Five Star Bar).

The menu has automatic cred too, since the beer list is curated by Certified Cicerone Ria Neri (Bangers & Lace) and cocktail offerings (such as the super-smooth Meigs Field and two rotating drinks on tap) are designed by Ronnie Higgins (formerly of Bar DeVille).

Poncher tells us the goal for the drink program is to take the mystery/anxiety out of ordering craft cocktails, and to serve easy-drinking libations. Here's a look at what happened on a recent weekend visit.
