Yesterday was a lovely day (albeit a bit steamy) for some al fresco reveling. Our fest of choice was a Wicker Park block party co-hosted by Bangers & Lace and Carriage House and benefiting the local non-profit UN86’D.

What made this block party worth a stop-by, you ask? Well, spikeable lemonade, a pie-eating contest, a giant Jenga game, a dunk tank, and chefs Mark Steuer (Carriage House) and Adam Wendt (Bangers & Lace) grilling in the streets, for starters.

Live tunes from Sons of the West (with a lead singer that doubles as bar-back at Bangers & Lace) kicked the bash into high gear, as industry pros, stroller-pushing dads, and scenesters wound down the weekend together.
