The New York Times Sunday Book Review this morning published its list of 100 notable books of 2014, and among the honorees are Chicagoans Cristina Henríquez and Rick Perlstein—both featured in Chicago magazine this year.
Henríquez earned distinction in fiction for her third work, The Book of Unknown Americans, about a young immigrant couple, while Perlstein's account of the years separating the Nixon and Reagan presidencies in The Invisible Bridge earned a nod in nonfiction.
You can see the entire list of honorees here, and read Chicago's profile of Henríquez here and Q&A with Perlstein here.
