“Friday, I’m seeing a show called No Beast So Fierce, which is run by Oracle Theatre. All of their shows are free but are such high quality.

“Saturday, I’ll probably get brunch at Marmalade, which is right in my ’hood in Lincoln Square. If I want to go savory, I get their vegan chilaquiles. If I’m going sweet, I get their really fluffy French toast piled with fresh fruit. Saturday night, I’m going to a magazine release party for a literary food journal called Graze. It’s their final issue so they’re doing a big party at Fizz Bar and Grill. They always have really good food and they’ll have booze from Aquanut Brewing and Leatherbee Gin.

“Sunday, I teach children improv at the Old Town School of Folk Music. I’ll run over to the Grind Café in between classes. I always get Sue’s bagel, which is a bagel with pesto and goat cheese. It’s perfect. Then Sunday night, I’m going to see Wild Earp and Babe-Alon 5 at the California Clipper. They do old-school Americana and look like they’re straight out of the ’40s.
