In an apparent addendum to the Tribune's Printers Row Lit Fest, literary columnist Jennifer Weigel will host local young-adult novelist Veronica Roth (of Divergent fame) and Australian fantasy writer Garth Nix (Old Kingdom) at the Athenaeum tonight.
The trio is set to discuss both Roth's and Nix's new works—each a prequel to their respective breakout series—as well as writing for teen and young-adult audiences. Fans who buy tickets in advance via Trib Nation ($20) will have access to discounted copies of Roth's Four: A Divergent Collection and Divergent Collector's Edition, plus Nix's Clariel, published last week.
Read Chicago's 2013 profile of Roth here, and be sure to tote your books along for the post-talk signing.
Go: 6 p.m. Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport. $20 in advance, $22 at the door.
