Happy holidays, dance freaks. After a brief eviction scare at Danny's Tavern earlier this month—first reported by DNAinfo and blown astronomically out of proportion elsewhere—management at the Bucktown tavern have issued a statement confirming the bar's continued operation.

Said co-owner Terry Alexander in an email: "Fortunately our landlord has reached back out to us in response to all of the petitions, blogs, articles in magazines, and stories on the internet, and we're currently working towards signing another lease and repairing the roof that is quickly deteriorating."

Should all go as planned, Alexander and his partners will be under a new lease at 1951 West Dickens Avenue by month's end, and the bar's beloved Sheer Magic and Clark Street Jams DJ nights will (thankfully) keep their homes.
