9/20–10/20 Roxy Paine: Apparatus. The sculptor Roxy Paine fills the 8,000-square-foot gallery with realistic dioramas of a nuclear plant’s control center and a fast-food restaurant, circa 1990. 9/12–11/4 Cesar Conde. The classically trained portraitist shows great sensitivity to each sitter’s personal and cultural identity. 9/6–11/30 Meow Wolf: Nucleotide. The artist collective Meow Wolf, from Santa Fe, New Mexico, completely alters the gallery to create an interactive multimedia environment inspired by undersea coral formations and humankind’s collective consciousness. UKRAINIAN INSTITUTE OF MODERN ART
