Oh, Farrow & Ball! Your colors are so deliciously lush, thumbing through your samples is like eyeing the delights in a box of chocolates. And that box of chocolates can be enjoyed outside, too, so to speak. The company’s 132 colors are available in exterior paints, suitable for use on wood, metal, and masonry. Here are some good tips, courtesy of the F&B exterior paints brochure:
- When decorating outside, go a shade or two darker than you would inside because colors will be seen in daylight
- To create flow between your interior and exterior spaces, use the same color in both spaces, whether you put it on a wall, piece of furniture, or other accessory
- Paint your door frame the same color as your door to add drama to your entrance.
Given it’s January, there’s plenty of time to think about your outdoor painting project. In the meantime, go to the company’s website to order your color… er, colour card. Everything’s better with a British accent (or spelling), is it not?
