This year marks the 100th anniversary of Ray Eames’s birth and, to celebrate, Herman Miller is releasing three special-edition Eames Wire Base Low Tables (Eames LTR Tables). Originally introduced in 1950, these tables are cute, practical, and provide a pop of primary color. Use one as a nightstand or side table, group a few in lieu of a coffee table, or just plop one down wherever you need a little Eames. Available in Ray Eames’s favorite colors: cobalt blue, red-orange, and yellow gold. You might also recognize these famed hues from the exterior of the Case Study House #8, co-designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The tables will be on sale starting mid-October and only be available through spring 2013 at Design Within Reach (10 E. Ohio St., 312-280-4677) or Room & Board (55 E. Ohio St., 312-222-0970).
