It's become something of a tradition among fans of the Andersonville antique shop Scout: the annual Ted Harris lamp show.

Harris, who is known for making lamps out of objects ranging from globes to vintage dumbbells (as well as out of potential-filled yet forgotten lamps found at thrift shops), has always been a fixture (excuse the pun) at Scout. But at this event, his work really shines. 

Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m., 100 lamps (table lamps, sconces, floor lamps, and other unique pieces—such as the one shown above—that feel more like art installations than sources of light) will illuminate the store. Cocktails and snacks will be served. The selection will remain in the shop until it sells out, which is bound to happen fast.
