It’s been a bit of a journey, but Nest Vintage Modern has just opened its doors to a brand new storefront at 26 South La Grange Road in La Grange. For the past year, the shop was located temporarily in Brookfield, and for the three years before that it was an online-only store.

But last weekend, owners Alana Waters-Piper and Sara Emmick celebrated the grand opening in this new location where they hope to be for a while.

The new shop is stocked with refurbished vintage home furnishings from the early 1900s through the mid-60s as well as new gift items and accessories—almost all of which come from around the Chicago area. A few favorites include cool retro tablecloths and linens just like your grandmother’s, huge letters from vintage marquee signs, and sets of colorful cake stands.

Nesting never looked so good.
