There's lots to do this weekend, design lovers.
It’s the final fling of the season for the Chicago Flea MKT. This was the first summer that this event brought together local artists and designers for a monthly affair in Wicker Park, and it was undoubtedly a success. Check out the finale on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A few highlights: posters from Rar Rar Press, custom dog pillows from Dog City & Co (shown here), and industrial chic furniture from Vault Furniture. There will also be food trucks and lots of Halloween activities, including a pumpkin-decorating contest. Find it all behind the A.N. Pritzker School (2009 W. Schiller St.).
More Sales and Events:
• Visit BoConcept (1901 N. Clybourn Ave.) this month and you’ll receive a gift card equal to 10 percent of your purchase (so spend $100 and you’ll get one for $10). Then go back and use the card in November and December (ahem, holiday gift shopping).
• West Town shows off its artsy side this weekend with the West Town Art Walk. On Friday night and all day Saturday, Chicago Avenue between Milwaukee and Leavitt gets transformed into an ode to all things creative, with visual, musical, and culinary arts represented. Pick up a map in the Banco Popular parking lot (1445 W. Chicago Ave.).
• Dose Market has gotten a makeover. It moved to a new location at 1st Ward (the event space in Wicker Park’s Chop Shop, 2033 W. North Ave.), lowered its entry price to $5, and now occurs weekly. Check it out every Sunday through the end of the year, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
