A friend is moving to Chicago from New York and I wanted to get her something little for her new apartment. So I glanced around my own home for inspiration and realized that the one thing I get the most compliments on is something completely random: A tiny reclaimed apothecary jar that’s filled with matches from designer Jen Pearson. To light a match, you just strike it on the rough bottom of the jar.
