Now that Nate Berkus is based in New York, his protégées Lauren Buxbaum and Sasha Adler have taken the reins as dual design directors at his West Town firm (which celebrates its 20th anniversary this fall). They share a passion for mixing vintage and modern furniture, layering luxurious fabrics in rich tones, and shopping small and local (Pavilion is a favorite destination).
