The artist Francine Turk, a favorite among interior designers for her charcoal drawings of nudes and landscapes that play well with many decorating styles, has gone 3-D. Working with Yong Hyun Chung, a ceramist who throws the stoneware vessels and plates, Turk carves directly into their damp surfaces with a sharp wooden tool. Chung colors the incised parts before glazing; like Turk’s drawings, the ceramics are mostly in shades of black and white. The one-of-a-kind pieces are an affordable way to collect Turk’s work: They sell for between $250 and $1,500 at her showroom. 18 E. Cullerton St., 312-674-1818
