The NanaWall, shown here in a Bucktown residence, has been tested for use in cold climates like ours.

Clark Street in Andersonville is becoming a hotspot for home accessorizing. Proving the point are the newly opened, Asian-infused Baan Home (5053 N. Clark St., 773-905-1228) and, a few blocks north, Haus (5405 N. Clark St., 773-769-4000), an art-fair alternative featuring ceramics, glass, jewelry, and furniture handcrafted by regional artisans. And, while we’re on the same street, the charming painted-furniture shop The White Attic has moved a few blocks south to 5225 N. Clark St., 773-907-9800. For funky touches inspired by more distant cultures, meet The Amazons (1), a collection of papier-mâché sculptures wrapped in natural abaca fibers. They’re available in four-, five-, and six-foot sizes at Symmetry (1925 W. Division St., 773-645-0502). More glamazon than Amazon? Dress your walls with bold fashion lithographs (2) by René Gruau, dating from the 1940s. You’ll see them at Figaro Parisian Interiors at Vintage Pine (904 W. Blackhawk St., 312-835-0821). For even more exotic accouterments, check out the Moroccan furniture and accessories dealer Guerramo Gallery (441 N. LaSalle St., 312-755-0104). Find everything from decorative tagines to colorful mosaics to gorgeous furniture embellished with hammered brass, mother-of-pearl, camel bone, and leather. Pieces can be custom-ordered. J. Robert Scott recently moved from Wells Street to a 6,000-square-foot showroom with 40 new pieces at 1873 Merchandise Mart, 312-527-2907. Scott’s former neighbor, contemporary home furnishings staple Roche Bobois, has opened a second location in River North, at 440 N. Wells St., 312-644-9080, that features the less contemporary lines Les Provinciales (3) and Les Voyages once carried at the company’s now-closed Winnetka location. The 222 W. Hubbard St. store will remain open, too, as the company breaks ground on one large River North showroom to house all of its collections. Also in the neighborhood, there’s the One-of-a-Kind Show and Sale December 7-10 at the Merchandise Mart, where more than 400 juried artists will strut their stuff, including paintings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, glass, and fiber art (merchandisemart.com). Falling into Lee Weitzman’s new Belmont chaise longue (4) is the sleekest way to unwind while giving props to your hometown: its design was inspired by the energy of Belmont Avenue. Available through Callard & Associates, 1611 Merchandise Mart, 312-670-3640. For home improvement projects: NanaWall Systems’ groovy folding glass door panels (5) are on display in the company’s first Chicago-area showroom, at Assured Corp., 3240 Wireton Rd., Blue Island, 708-385-4079. Chicago Brass Decorative Hardware just opened a freestanding showroom featuring a plethora of high-end products displayed according to architectural style rather than by brand. By appointment only, 2769 N. Lincoln Ave., 773-296-4566. The residential technology experts at LouisClark have opened a 5,500-square-foot Experience Center (2000 Greenleaf St., Evanston, 847-864-0271) that features vignettes of all the ways you can get your home wired, from your kitchen to your home movie theatre. As for those kitchen cabinets, make them as green as your veggies with Chicago-based Environmental Languages’ new eco-chic kitchen line, exclusively available through Safe Building Solutions in Milwaukee (262-968-5070).
