After staging pop-ups in Stockholm and Berlin, Lopez planted his gallery in Ukrainian Village, where it has become a neighborhood staple. A New York native born to Puerto Rican parents, Lopez keeps a roster of 12 artists, more than half of them foreign—a rarity in Chicago.
