[1] LINCOLN PARK $199,000 to $349,000
» Behind the richly ornamented façade at 2053 North Sheffield Avenue, the developer Jay Ok has gutted the building’s interior down to its brick walls—and left much of the brick exposed to provide some vintage appeal. “These are definitely not the vanilla box condos you see everywhere in the city,” says Karen Fata, one of the @Properties agents handling sales in the building, where prices were cut on average by about 15 percent last fall.
Each of the eight condos has a new kitchen and bath and a unique open floor plan. The most interesting unit—and, at 1,200 square feet, the largest—is on the first floor. Priced at $349,000, this two-bedroom condo has its own entrance (the other units share a common one) and a very large living room with tall storefront windows and a 15-foot-high ceiling. The smallest condo—a one-bedroom 950-square-foot unit—is, at $199,000, also the lowest priced. There are four parking spaces available on the property.
