Six years after the Katydids, a Chicago-born improv sextet of women who all bear a variation of the name Katherine, first took the iO stage, the group is finally having a breakout moment. On Wednesday, the Katydids will premiere the twisted sitcom Teachers on TV Land. The show centers on six insecure, selfie-obsessed elementary school educators who attempt to shape young lives as their own fall apart.
