At The Lumiere, a new condo building at 2408 West Rice Street, it’s all about the details—even when they are behind the scenes. Rather than use common brick to cloak the rear of the four-story structure, the developer skillfully paired dark brick and glass, presenting a handsome prospect to owners as they pull into the building’s garage—as well as to the children romping in the school playground across the street.
Other stylish finishes include the horizontal running tile, the glass railings on the balconies, and the frosted-glass window between the master bath and the master bedroom in some units. “These are small things, but I think they’re what the buyer is looking for,” says Sergiy Vasilechko, whose Denmax Corp. built the place from a design by the architect John Hanna.
Eight of the 12 units at The Lumiere remain for sale; they each have three bedrooms and two baths, at least one balcony, and an area of about 1,500 square feet. Each unit comes with an indoor parking space; five more spaces are for sale at $20,000 each. Condos are available for immediate move-ins; Michael Vesole of @properties is handling sales.
