For Maria Pinto, fashion doesn’t mean dysfunction. In two decades as a designer to the stars, the Bridgeport native has dressed the likes of Oprah, Mick Jagger, and Michelle Obama in her hallmark low-maintenance clothing. “We shouldn’t have to compromise on comfort,” says Pinto, 59, whose newest line of women’s wear, M2057—named for the year she’ll turn 100—is her most smartly refined yet. That same aesthetic permeates her River North condo. Here are some of her favorite things.
