Mike Wolson earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and then attended DePaul University College of Law. After graduating and passing the bar exam, Mike began working in the recruitment field. He founded and grew Chicago Recruiters, a search firm that specialized in placing professionals in Legal, Finance and Information Technology.

Fast-forward a few years later, and Mike unexpectedly found himself a widower with toddlers to raise on his own. As everyone with children knows, balancing a demanding job and family life is a challenge, but this situation prepared Mike for his real estate career.

Not only has real estate been an ideal avenue for Mike to channel his analytical, marketing and negotiation skills, but it has also come with unexpected joys. Many of his clients have become lifelong friends. While those friendships might not have helped him fine-tune his golf game or enhance his culinary skills (he’s open to admitting he’s not great at either), Mike is confident that those relationships are the reason his business has continued to evolve. Today, he ranks in the top 1 percent of Illinois agents and was named by WSJ Real Trends as one of the top agents nationally.

Outside of work, you’ll find Mike talking someone’s ear off as to why the Chicago Bears are better than they appear, or how the Spartans will fare in March Madness, regardless of their season record. A hands-on dad, Mike can usually be found with one of his kids or at Life Time Fitness.
