On November 6, Chicago magazine hosted its fourth Secret Supper of 2023 at the up-and-coming contemporary Italian restaurant Ummo. Attendees soaked in the cool energetic vibes in the upstairs loft area during VIP hour, and then migrated to the main floor, where they enjoyed a custom five-course dinner curated by chef-partner José Sosa and his culinary team. The menu included vibrant flavors of regional Italian cuisine such as the carpaccio di polpo and grilled Hokkaido scallops. The entrée course featured wild mushroom risotto as well as the wood-fired wagyu with a foie gras bordelaise. Guests enjoyed deliciously refreshing cocktails featuring Haku vodka, Maker’s Mark 46 bourbon, Tres Generaciones tequila, and Topo Chico.
