Letherbee has released its 2015’s Autumnal gin (one of two seasonal varieties they put out each year)—a warming blend of flavors such as maple and allspice. To celebrate, the local distiller teams up with their pals at Longman & Eagle (2657 N. Kedzie Ave., Logan Square, 773-276-7110) to throw a launch party at Longman’s OSB (located behind and adjacent to Longman proper) from 6 to 9 p.m. Longman & Eagle bar manager Phil Olson will be whipping up a special cocktail for the occasion as well.
Bread & Wine (3732-34 W. Irving Park Rd., Irving Park, 773-866-5266) joins forces with Firestone Walker Brewing Company for a beer-filled dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. For $65 you’ll ingest a six-course dinner, plus six beers from the California-based brewer. This means things like whitefish paired with Opal Dry-Hopped Saison. Call the restaurant to reserve a spot.
Friday, October 9
