There have been signs of River North reaching a point of casualification, but Disco (111 W. Hubbard St.) is precisely the opposite. It's a multi-colored haven for the club-going crowd, tucked inside of low-key cocktail den Celeste, and it does a fun take on a disco homage.
A definite '70s influence pervades the place, but it's not kitschy or tacky. Yes, there's an everchanging lit dance floor, disco balls aplenty, and lots of acrylic furniture, but the music leans more toward contemporary-feeling remixes of era-appropriate hits, and there are tons of people updating their Snapchat stories from the furry couches. FYI: The party really gets started around midnight.
Here's what all we saw when we stopped in.
