Thursday, 4/18: Wicker Park’s Smoke Daddy (1804 W. Division St., 773-772-6656) is back after adding over 2,000 square feet and more than doubling its seating capacity from 55 to 120. There’s a new weekend brunch, too.
Thursday, 4/18: The upscale Mexican steakhouse Polanco (2451 N. Milwaukee Ave.) will serve its meat slabs with chimichurri, bordelaise, chile morita, and herb citrus, courtesy of chef Cesar Reyes (Park Grill, Chicago Firehouse, Zapatista).
Friday 4/19: The new Parisian boîte from Carrie Nahabedian, Brindille (534 N. Clark St., 312-595-1616), will open just a block north from Naha with only 52 seats and a lovely lobster (above) on the menu.
Friday, 4/19: The menu at Bar Sixty Three (6341 N. Broadway, 773-942-6269) might look typical (buffalo wings and chicken tenders), but with Matt Fisher (Bistronomic, The Boarding House) at the helm, this sports bar might be more than the sum of its parts.
Morsels
Saturday, May 4, is opening day for Green City Market. The outdoor market at Clark Street and Lincoln Avenue will run 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays until late October.
Deca Restaurant + Bar will unveil a rooftop lounge called The Dec this May. Located on the 12th floor, the 57-seater will have its own light lunch and bar bites menu, as well as an ice cream sundae cart.
Deleece Grill Pub is closed for good. The chef, Jason Myers, has migrated to Grass Fed in Bucktown and will unveil a new spring menu on May 1.
