A new option for your Wrigleyville pizza parties: Heating & Cooling (3530 N. Clark St., 773-789-8864), from the crew behind Pearl Tavern, turns out rock ’n’ roll-inspired pies and cocktails.

Bee & Tea (818 W. Fullerton Ave., Lincoln Park, 312-238-9640) has buzzed into its second location for bubble teas and bao sandwiches within strolling distance of DePaul.

Make a pit stop in Scone City (1632 W. Division St., Wicker Park, 773-904-8722) in the mornings for a blackberry-orange scone and a cup of coffee from HalfWit. Plus, the café's one of the cutest places to sit in the entire neighborhood.

Kymberli DeLost, who’s spent the past year running the pastry program at Hot Chocolate (1747 N. Damen Ave., Bucktown, 773-489-1747), has a new gig: She’s now in charge of desserts at all three of Billy Lawless’s restaurants (Acanto, the Dawson, and the Gage). Taking over for DeLost at Hot Chocolate is Kelsey Morgan, the former assistant to pastry visionary and owner Mindy Segal.

The saga at Embeya (564 W. Randolph St., West Loop, 312-612-5640) continues. Last week, news broke that founding chef and partner Thai Dang had left the restaurant and the spot would close until his replacement was announced. But on Monday, Dang spoke with the Tribune to say he didn’t just leave: He was fired and the restaurant closed because the entire kitchen staff walked out with him. Read the full story here.

Cochon 555, the head-to-head competition where five chefs get a whole heritage-breed pig to cook up and vie for the title of Prince or Princess of Porc, returns to Chicago on April 26.
